Greenville, South Carolina Newborn Photographer | Triplet Newborn Session

This session was a dream come true for me in so many ways! I’ve photographed so many newborn twins and I always LOVE capturing the bond between them but I’ve never had the chance to photograph triplets before this year. I connected with their sweet Mama, Samantha, while she was around 28 weeks pregnant or so and we were excitedly planning their session a few weeks before they were born.

She had such an amazing pregnancy with them and managed to deliver a lot later than anyone expected for a triplet pregnancy. I know that because she was able to carry so long, the girls had their best chance from the start and went into the NICU quite healthy. They only needed breathing assistance and C-Paps for a short time thankfully. Following their NICU journey so precious to watch and you just knew God he had these girls (and their Mama) in His hands from day one.

They improved so much from week to week and Whitley was the first to go home. Fun fact, Whitley and Dallie Grace (named after her Daddy, Dallas) are actually identical which is so obvious when you’re looking at them because they were little carbon copies of each other to my eyes. Mommy is the pro at telling them apart. Dallie Grace came home shortly after Whitley and then we were just waiting on Landyn to master her feedings so she could join her sisters at home and we could get them all to the studio. To say I was excited is an understatement and I was SO ready to meet these sweet girls!!

I asked two fellow photographers to come assist that day since you need extra hands with multiples and we were all in heaven with THREE sweet babies to cuddle! I always try to start with froggy pose for newborns but as I’m sure you can imagine, it’s a lot more of a challenge logistically to get three babies in froggy pose at once. With a lot of patience, we were able to get that pose. I do love a challenge so triplet froggy was on my wish list. Doesn’t hurt that these girls are ridiculously gorgeous - take a look at those lashes! 😍

Posing three babies is a lot of moving parts - literally. 🤣 You get one baby posed, try to add in the next and they both decide to move then you get two posed and add the third then the cycle repeats. It’s a lot of slow movements, shushing, pacis and some gentle bum pats to settle everyone. I think we all swooned when Dallie Grace decided to grace the camera with this sweet smile.

I’m so happy these sweet girls were happy to snuggle each other - there’s nothing sweeter in my opinion than multiples snuggling up together. They shared a womb for 9 months and they’ll be best friends for life. That bond is truly something special to witness. We color coordinated the girls so we could tell them apart. 🤣 Dallie Grace was pink, Whitley was purple and Landyn was blue.

I’ve said it before but these bunk beds are truly one of my very favorite props! They are the most darling little setup with twins and triplets. The babies, the jammies, and the tiny beds just melt me. 😍😍😍

I always try to do a few wrapped setups as well for variety and these girls loved to be swaddled. Can you even stand 3 sets of little baby feet peeking out? There are few things as precious as baby toes.

With multiples, I obviously want images of babies posed together so I can document their special bond but I also think it’s important to do some solo images with each baby because they’re all unique in their own way. I like to highlight both the similarities and the differences so we were sure to do a couple sets with each baby girl solo too.

We tried to get all 3 in this bamboo crib together but two babies is the max this bed holds at once. 🤣 Dallie Grace is in the pink set, Whitley in the purple set, and Landyn in the sage set.

We finished their session with some parent poses with Daddy and all his girls. Safe to say he’s a little outnumbered. 🤣 Not gonna lie - it’s a little unfair this sweet Mama is this STUNNING so soon after giving birth to THREE tiny humans. Like, how?? Beautiful family!

Their hands - and hearts - will be forever full. These girls will have one overprotective Daddy and a big brother to have their back always. I KNOW they will go on to do great things. They have wonderful examples to love them and teach them to be the very best humans possible. I cannot wait to watch them grow!

See what I mean about stunning? Gah. 😍 I had this idea in mind for an image of Mama with all her girls and it’s everything I imagined it would be.

Dallas and Samantha, I’m so honored you entrusted me with your sweet girls. Everything about your session was pure joy. They’re perfect, you guys were the sweetest to work with, and I could not have asked for anything more.

I’m also grateful for photographer friends who were willing to come help - I couldn’t have gotten through nearly as much without you both. ♥️
